Partnerships and Work-Based Learning Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead the operational delivery of placement, partnership and professional practice activity across the School of Education. You will manage partnerships with external organisations, ensure compliant, high-quality service delivery, and develop the partnership administration team. You will collaborate with academic and professional staff to improve systems and processes that support students, staff and partners. This is a strategic position aligned with LJMU’s Strategy 2030 to place students at the heart of the university.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational delivery of placement, partnership and professional practice activity across the School of Education
• Ensure placement activities are efficient, well managed and responsive to changing requirements
• Maintain and develop relationships with partner organisations
• Ensure high standards of compliance and service delivery
• Lead and develop the partnership administration team
• Contribute to continuous improvement of systems, processes and services
• Collaborate with Academic Services Manager and academic/professional colleagues
• Support work-based learning, placements or professional practice activities
• Work within quality assurance and regulatory frameworks

Key requirements

• Substantial experience of operational management within higher education or a similarly complex environment
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining excellent service standards
• Experience developing and maintaining external partnerships and stakeholder relationships
• Experience leading teams and supporting work-based learning or placements
• Experience working within quality assurance and regulatory frameworks
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
