Overview

In this role, you will support the day-to-day operations of the Business Development & Marketing function. You will work with Finance, Procurement, HR, Technology and Risk & Compliance to coordinate activities, manage records and governance, and drive continuous improvement. You’ll handle budget support, supplier onboarding, reporting, and governance documentation, enabling effective decision-making. This position offers impact across cross-functional teams within a respected law firm that values responsible, client-focused service. You will contribute to scalable processes and change initiatives that enhance efficiency and risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Support budget management, forecasting, purchase orders and financial administration
  • Coordinate supplier onboarding, contracts, procurement activity and spend tracking
  • Produce and maintain management information, reports and dashboards
  • Prepare materials for leadership meetings and track actions to completion
  • Maintain departmental policies, procedures, records and governance documentation
  • Support audits, compliance activities and risk management processes
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and ways of working
  • Coordinate onboarding, team communications, operational meetings and planning activities
  • Support business change projects and the implementation of new systems and processes

Key requirements

  • Experience in an operations, administration, business support, project support or marketing operations role
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with budgets, procurement processes or business administration activities
  • Ability to analyse information and produce accurate reports and management information
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
  • Ideally experience supporting governance, compliance or supplier management in a professional services environment
