Overview
In this role, you will join a growing Private Client team in Swindon, focusing on tax and estate planning for HNW clients, succession planning for business owners, and complex probate work. You’ll collaborate with senior colleagues while developing your own practice area and helping expand the Swindon office. The position combines client advisory, leadership of junior colleagues, and business development to strengthen the regional presence. You’ll work in a flexible, family‑friendly environment with hybrid options and opportunities to shape the firm’s private client offering.

Responsibilities
- Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers and support staff
- Managing a varied and complex caseload
- Building relationships with clients, referrers and professional contacts
- Leading and contributing to business development initiatives
- Writing thought‑leadership and BD articles
- Supporting the strategic growth of the Swindon office
Key requirements
- Solicitors or CILEX lawyers (cross-qualified candidates welcome)
- Experience in Court of Protection
- Experience with LPAs, trusts, complex estate planning, probate and estate administration
- Experience with high net worth clients, business owners and complex estates
- Strong BD skills and market visibility
- Ability to hit the ground running and support a growing regional presence
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
