Overview
In this role you will lead analytics for Wise’s new credit products, partnering with product, engineers, data scientists and designers to shape a scalable credit offering for SMEs. You will stress-check risk models, leverage market data, and influence product decisions with forward-looking loss and delinquency analytics. You’ll own the analytics data strategy and build a small, high-performing team as the product grows. This is a mission-driven role at the frontier of transparent, fair credit in a global platform.

Responsibilities
- Challenge and stress-test credit risk models with SMEs alongside Data Science, including scenario analysis
- Leverage market insights to validate modelling and decision-making
- Develop forward-looking loss, delinquency, and write-off projections with feedback loops to product/risk decisions
- Inform regional teams on market launch strategy
- Own the Credit analytics data strategy: datasets, dashboards, tools, definitions, and data quality
- Lead and develop a high-performing analytics team: coaching, prioritisation, hiring as needed
Key requirements
- 6 years+ in data analytics with experience in economics/finance/risk/fraud/portfolio management/investing modelling or credit
- Strong understanding of the credit ecosystem and economics of different credit products
- SQL experience with large datasets and building data pipelines
- Structured, pragmatic approach to work: define metrics and progress with imperfect information
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management with proven cross-disciplinary influence
