Linux Systems Admin – Trading tech

Overview

In this role you will support mission-critical trading infrastructure for a leading fintech environment. You’ll join a fast-paced support team and collaborate with sales and engineering to troubleshoot, automate, and improve global data center operations. You will help ensure high availability and performance for execution systems used by banks and institutional traders.

Responsibilities

• Respond to client inquiries about infrastructure and network issues
• Troubleshoot server and network connectivity problems for customers
• Improve and document support policies and procedures
• Analyze server failures and implement preventive solutions
• Automate server deployment
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain globally distributed data center infrastructure

Key requirements

• STEM degree
• 1+ years’ experience supporting mission-critical infrastructure
• Red Hat Linux Certification or equivalent
• comfortable on the command line
• hardware setup and maintenance experience
• some networking experience
• virtualisation experience (VMware)
