Civil Structural Engineer

Overview

In this Civil Structural Engineer role, you support site-based teams to deliver reinforced concrete and steel structures that meet relevant codes and project methods. You collaborate with engineers, BIM coordinators, managers and construction teams to define practical solutions and manage changes through QA processes. The role blends design refinement, detailing coordination, and interfacing with overseas back offices to close design packages. You contribute to safe, compliant construction in a regulated setting and drive effective field responses.

Responsibilities

• Modify designs to comply with ETC-C/Eurocodes and project methodologies
• Coordinate detailing with CAD designers and engineers for 3D BIM rebar models and 2D drawings
• Manage engineering changes per procedures and QA processes
• Respond to Field Change Requests, Field Information Requests, and Site Non-Conformances
• Liaise with site engineering teams, construction teams, and overseas back offices
• Technical review and acceptance of contractor deliverables and site inspections

Key requirements

• Degree or Masters in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related discipline
• Working knowledge of detailed design to construction phase transition
• Experience in nuclear or highly regulated industries
• Eligibility to obtain BPSS clearance
