Overview

As a Senior Consultant in our UK Infrastructure Cost & Commercial Assurance team, you help scrutinise actual costs and drive supply chain improvements for major programmes. You’ll lead and mentor junior colleagues, contribute to bids, and help refine service offerings. Your analysis of complex contracts and data-driven insights will reinforce contract compliance, governance, and value delivery for clients. Responsibilities

• Undertake assurance reviews across major construction projects to verify contractual compliance and control effectiveness
• Analyse complex contracts (NEC3/4/ICE Bespoke) and identify risks and opportunities
• Perform data testing and use visualisation tools (Power BI/Tableau) to reveal trends and insights
• Produce concise written findings and recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders
• Maintain strong client relationships and foster collaboration with the supply chain
• Support and mentor junior team members and contribute to bid development and service-line enhancements
• Assess and improve client commercial controls, contract administration, decision-making, and governance structures
• Review management of commercial matters including variations, claims, forecasting, risk allocation, and performance

Key requirements

• Experience in assurance or audit within construction, commercial, or accounting settings
• Familiarity with procurement routes, disallowed costs, target price setting, pain/gain calculations
• Contract Management experience with NEC3/4 (Option C, E) preferred
• Ability to review cost accuracy and entitlement, change management, and forecast control
• Data analysis skills with ability to extract insights from large datasets (Power BI/Tableau preferred)
• Strong report writing and communication skills for clear, impactful messages
• People management experience and ability to handle fluctuating workloads
• Presentation skills with ability to influence stakeholders
