Solicitor, Dispute Resolution

Overview

In this role you will join the international Dispute Resolution team in Birmingham, contributing to high-value commercial disputes through cross-border collaboration. You will develop your expertise across arbitration, litigation, and related advisory work while supporting clients and colleagues across global offices. You help manage cases, conduct research, and assist business development, all within a high-performing, inclusive culture. Responsibilities

• Prepare documentation for cases to trial
• Liaise with counsel/experts
• Engage with clients with appropriate sensitivity
• Manage an existing caseload
• Draft legal documents
• Conduct legal research
• Assist with business development initiatives
• Record time accurately and manage diary efficiently
• Liaise with clients, counsel, barristers, and external advisors professionally

Key requirements

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
• Completion of a training seat in Dispute Resolution
• Strong academic background
• Excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage competing priorities
• Proven UK experience in complex/high-value commercial litigation/arbitration
• Experience of international arbitration is desirable
• Genuine interest in litigation and high-quality client service
• Commercial awareness and proactive client service and practice development
• Ability to work independently and in a team, contributing to global, inclusive culture
