Overview
In this role you lead the Seller Events function for eBay UK, shaping a best-in-class events programme that supports marketplace goals. You’ll manage a small team and agency partners, delivering high-impact events with strong cost discipline. You’ll connect with sellers to understand needs and translate insights into business impact. You’ll innovate event formats, foster a learning culture, and collaborate cross-functionally to amplify company priorities.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Seller Events team (two direct reports + seasonal staff)
- Lead the UK seller events strategy aligned with marketplace goals
- Use events as a strategic tool to influence seller behavior, adoption, and community building
- Optimize resources and manage budgets to deliver high-impact events within cost constraints
- Manage agency partners and external suppliers to ensure value and quality
- Build relationships with sellers and translate insights back into the business
- Create new event formats and playbooks, reimagining how we connect with sellers
- Embed a culture of learning and iteration using data/feedback to improve the programme
- Collaborate cross-functionally to amplify wider company priorities
Key requirements
- Experience leading events programmes at scale, ideally in marketplaces/ecommerce
- Strategic thinker with a link between events and commercial outcomes
- Strong commercial acumen with budget management and cost efficiencies
