Education and Recognition Adviser

Overview

In this role you will help empower educators in higher education by designing and delivering development programs. You will contribute to the Queen Mary Academy’s portfolio and support the university’s 2030 Strategy through certificate programs and engaging courses. You will work with academic staff across formats and audiences to advance inclusive, high-quality teaching. This is a chance to shape educational practice within a flagship university and grow with evolving academy initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design, deliver and coordinate an educational development portfolio for academic staff
• Deliver provision meeting institutional need and strategy (e.g., CILT, PGCAP)
• Design and deliver engaging courses and workshops (in-person and online)
• Contribute to strategic initiatives underpinning the 2030 Strategy
• Engage diverse audiences and build strong stakeholder relationships
• Adapt to evolving Academy workloads and requirements

Key requirements

• Experience designing, delivering and coordinating an educational development portfolio for academic staff
• Experience teaching in higher education (small and large groups, face-to-face and online)
• Knowledge of effective pedagogy in higher education and UK HE landscape
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills across platforms
• Ability to align provision with institutional needs and strategy
