Overview

In this role you will lead and manage contentious probate matters within a leading regional law firm. You will handle wills, estates and trust disputes, representing clients in court and ADR, while mentoring junior team members. The role offers potential partnership and a hybrid working arrangement, with a commutable location for those from Essex. You will work closely with the Dispute Resolution team to drive successful outcomes and client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage contentious probate matters and provide strategic client guidance
• Handle diverse caseload of wills, estates, trusts, and inheritance disputes
• Represent clients in courts and in ADR proceedings
• Mentor and support junior team members to develop their skills

Key requirements

• Minimum 5 years PQE in contentious probate
• Proven track record in handling complex probate disputes
• Ability to manage a demanding caseload
• Strong advocacy and negotiation skills with court experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication and client relationship abilities
