Data Protection and Privacy Operations Lead EMEA

Overview

In this role, you will lead non-U.S. data protection and privacy operations under the Global Privacy Office and align CTI programs with wider company objectives. You’ll collaborate with Privacy Risk Liaisons, Information Security, and Compliance to sustain regulatory readiness across EMEA and APAC. You’ll oversee DSARs and DPIAs, update privacy notices and policies, and contribute to training and reporting. This position offers a chance to shape privacy programs within a global asset manager and interact with diverse stakeholders to drive compliant, trusted client outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison to the non-U.S. CTI business and drive privacy program compliance
• Maintain and align privacy program with Ameriprise Global Privacy Office and company objectives
• Collaborate with Information Security and CTI Compliance on program development and implementation
• Monitor regulatory changes across EMEA and APAC and adapt privacy practices
• Oversee DSAR fulfillment and assist HR and Transfer Agent teams
• Prepare privacy risk and compliance reports and analyze data
• Develop and deliver privacy training content and participate in annual compliance training
• Conduct Data Privacy Impact Assessments on projects and define privacy requirements
• Lead and mentor staff assisting with DSARs, DPAs and other activities
• Interface with data subjects regarding rights requests
• Support data privacy regulators needs and maintain data privacy notices and policies
• Engage in culture and governance within General Counsel’s Organization
• Demonstrate stewardship and leadership excellence
