Workplace Health and Safety Manager

Overview

In this WHS Manager role, you lead and develop a site-based safety team while driving safety improvements across Amazon sites. You partner with cross-functional teams to uphold high safety standards and foster an inclusive safety culture. You’ll analyze data to inform leadership decisions, guide health and safety projects and policies, and drive programs that strengthen safety culture at scale. This role offers impact through hands-on site leadership and strategic safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage onsite safety team and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues
• Analyze data and root causes using internal reporting tools to inform safety decisions for leadership
• Provide guidance and arrangements for health and safety projects and policies
• Drive programs to improve Amazon’s safety culture

Key requirements

• English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Degree in Occupational Safety field per EQF requirements
• NEBOSH Diploma or IOSH Diploma
• Experience complying with local Health and Safety legislation
• Experience managing a team

• Lean, 5S or Kaizen methodologies (preferred)
• Experience planning or managing environmentally conscious initiatives (preferred)
