Overview
As an Industrial Air Sales Engineer, you drive growth by selling compressed air and vacuum solutions within Scotland. You collaborate with a field sales team to expand market share, build long-term customer relationships, and manage the full sales cycle from opportunity identification to delivery. You support customers with on-site technical guidance, demos, and tailored proposals, while maintaining strong after-sales support. This role combines technical product insight with a customer-focused, consultative approach to reinforce a leading global brand.

Responsibilities
- Grow market share in Scotland by nurturing strong customer relationships and increasing sales of compressed air and vacuum solutions
- Prepare commercially competitive proposals and pricing to convert leads and retain existing clients
- Lead technical product demonstrations, participate in exhibitions, and contribute to negotiations to close deals
- Provide accurate technical guidance through on-site assessments to align customer needs with suitable solutions
- Ensure high customer satisfaction via responsive after-sales support and long-term loyalty
- Maximise distributor performance by supporting and incentivising the regional distributor network to hit targets
- Report on sales visits, market feedback, pipeline, and lost orders to enable data-driven decisions and continuous improvement
Key requirements
- Proven sales experience, preferably with capital equipment or technical products
- Technical background or qualification is advantageous but not essential if strong sales track record
- Full UK driving licence for field-based travel
- Confidence with technology and ability to learn new systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trusted relationships
- Strong organisational and time management skills to plan, prioritise and work independently
- Desire to learn and grow within a supportive environment
