Overview

As a Finance Business Partner, you guide financial decisions through analysis and insight, supporting business goals. You will build relationships with key stakeholders to challenge and inform planning, budgeting, and opportunities. The role sits in a hybrid setup (Guildford, with Bournemouth as a potential alternative) and offers a broad remit across month‑end processes, cost allocation, and financial management reporting. You will help shape decisions with timely, accurate information and strong technical know‑how, contributing to a high‑performing finance function.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial management expertise and insights to inform decision‑making within the business area
• Appraise and support new opportunities and projects with financial considerations and controls
• Own the month‑end expense process and allocate costs to P&Ls, explaining impacts of changes
• Lead the expense budgeting and planning process for relevant business areas
• Produce accurate and timely financial information to inform decisions
• Ensure reporting and accounting meet required standards, quality, and timescales
• Influence business decisions through engagement with key stakeholders

Key requirements

• Experience in finance within the insurance industry
• Up‑to‑date insurance accounting and reporting knowledge
• Ability to apply management accounting and financial management techniques
• Strong analytical capability and proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Ability to collaborate credibly across all levels, including senior management
• Resilience and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
