Lead Software Engineer

Overview

In this Lead Software Engineer role, you’ll guide teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that make a global impact. You’ll balance hands-on technical work with coaching, performance management, and mentoring to develop junior engineers. You’ll engage with customers, share knowledge, and drive technical direction in a fast-paced environment. This role combines leadership with hands-on engineering to shape scalable, secure applications and modern tech practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to the team
• Make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment while exploring new technologies
• Own technical aspects of products/projects including architecture, estimation, and requirements
• Coach and develop junior staff and support their career growth
• Interact with customers to share knowledge and solutions
• Support and promote modern software development practices (e.g., XP, TDD) and CI/CD initiatives

Key requirements

• Expertise in designing, building, testing and maintaining modern software applications
• Technical leadership of teams delivering scalable, secure, high-performance software
• Experience with technical ownership for a product including architecture and planning
• Proven ability to design across all layers of an application
• Experience coaching and developing junior team members
• Experience with latest CI/CD techniques
