Lead Software Engineer

Overview

In this role you will lead and hands-on engineer for retail order management, shaping scalable OMS solutions within Kingfisher’s transformation. You’ll influence design, mentor engineers, and drive engineering excellence in a fast-growing, collaborative team. The position blends technical leadership with delivery ownership in a hybrid London-based setup. Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction, coaching, and mentorship to engineers to align squad objectives with long-term goals
• Lead design and delivery of complex, scalable solutions in collaboration with senior engineers and architects
• Champion engineering best practices, quality standards, and continuous improvement
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development of high-performing teams
• Foster knowledge sharing through documentation and cross-team technical leadership
• Build strong relationships with engineering and business stakeholders to ensure delivery of strategic objectives
