Software Engineering Manager – International Pricing

Overview

In this role you will lead a multidisciplinary software engineering team within the International Pricing domain to design, build, and operate scalable pricing platforms for global markets. You will partner with Product, Delivery, Design and Architecture to shape roadmaps and deliver value that supports M&S’s international growth. You’ll foster a high-performing, inclusive culture while driving modern engineering practices and operational excellence. Responsibilities

• Build, mentor and lead a high-performing software engineering team with a culture of collaboration, inclusion, innovation and continuous improvement
• Oversee planning, execution and delivery of software initiatives aligned to business goals while managing risks and dependencies
• Drive engineering excellence through modern practices, cloud-first approaches and robust build pipelines for maintainability and scalability
• Ensure operational stability, security, performance and reliability across team-owned solutions toward Elite DORA standards
• Partner with Product, Delivery, Design and Architecture to shape technical roadmaps and maximize value from shared platforms and modern solutions

Key requirements

• Strong software engineering background with experience across modern architectures, cloud platforms and scalable back-end systems
• Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams and developing inclusive environments
• Strong technical judgement in system design, architecture, quality, testing, reliability and operations
• Excellent leadership, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills with stakeholder influence
• DevOps mindset and servant leadership with ability to navigate complex technical and organizational challenges
