The Role:Reporting to the Senior Quality Engineer, the Quality Engineer will be responsible for fulfilling quality related deliverables for the Burton plant.
Your day-to-day duties as Quality Engineer will include:Analyse customer returns, concerns and defectsPrepare and maintain control plan for components and complete productsPerform Capability Studies and Process AuditsAble to use key Quality tools, PPS, A3, Ishikawa, Is/Is Not, Mini Tab, 5WhySupport the continuous improvement of the Operator Description Sheets (ODS)Lead Problem Solving teams for Root Cause Analysis on Plant/Customer issuesUnderstand supplier requirements for PPAPBe able to travel at short noticeRaise and manage quality documentation (Quality Alerts, PFUs etc)Your skills & experience as Quality Engineer:Automotive Industry experience is advantageous but not essential. xwwtmva Manufacturing Quality System experience and customer communication activitiesAbility to demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills to all levels of the business including the customerAble to demonstrate knowledge of Problem-Solving Tools and TechniquesRequired to be committed, self-driven to learn and have the ability to work on your own initiativeMinimum HNC qualified.Benefits:Excellent salary39 hours per week, core hours Monday to Friday 8am 4.20pmFlexible working: working day can be extended to allow 12.30pm finish on Friday and early finishes throughout the week if hours are made up elsewhere (discretionary)26 days holiday plus bank holidaysEmployee discounts availableCycle To Work SchemeDiscounted Golf / Gym membershipsfinishes throughout the week if hours are made up elsewhere (discretionary)Contributory pension schemeOpportunities for development and training
