Finance Officer – London

Overview

In this role you will manage EKH’s accounting across the UK & Ireland, Germany, and Scandinavia. You will lead accounts payable, revenue/receivables, and general ledger activities, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance. You will support budgeting, forecasting, and tax processes while guiding junior staff and collaborating with finance controllers. The position offers exposure to a fast-paced, multinational environment with a focus on continuous improvement and robust controls. This is a hands-on role that drives timely financial insights and statutory compliance within Emirates Holidays.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable lifecycle: supplier data, invoices, reconciliations, and payments
• Oversee revenue recognition, AR management, and credit control support
• Prepare and review general ledger entries, management accounts, and financial reporting packs
• Support month-end and year-end close processes and regulatory compliance
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
• Coordinate tax compliance activities and liaise with internal/external stakeholders
• Provide on-the-job coaching and performance reviews for direct reports
• Assist with process improvements, automation, and documentation across AP, AR, and GL
• Backup finance team during leave and support cross-market finance activities

Key requirements

• 5+ years of relevant finance experience
• Qualified accounting designation (Chartered Accountant, ACCA, or similar)
• Strong analytical abilities and advanced accounting knowledge
• Ability to work independently within an established framework
• Proven ability to manage deadlines and organize a busy workload
• Tax knowledge and alignment with statutory/compliance requirements
• Advanced MS Office and ERP systems proficiency
• Knowledge of Tour Operator accounting procedures; familiarity with CAA/ABTA/ATOL advantageous
• Fluent written and spoken English; other European/Scandinavian languages advantageous
