Mechanical Project Manager

Overview

As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will lead the mechanical installation on a £20m commercial fit-out, ensuring quality and timely delivery. You will work within a senior management team to supervise installations and commissioning, coordinating mechanical subcontractors and direct staff. The role focuses on delivering high-quality services and meeting client expectations on a large-scale project. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape the energy center installation and QA processes, contributing to the company’s reputation for service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Manage and quality control the entire mechanical installation on the project
• Directly oversee mechanical subcontractors and on-site staff
• Coordinate commissioning activities for the energy center and related systems
• Produce QA checklists and perform QA checks
• Oversee installation of gas boilers, hot and cold water systems, sprinklers, MVHR, and underfloor heating
• Ensure flushing, pressure testing, and pipework installation meet standards
• Collaborate with senior management to align with project goals
• Maintain safety and quality compliance throughout the installation

Key requirements

• 5 years’ experience as a mechanical project manager
• Experience managing mechanical subcontractors and direct staff
• Experience on commercial projects
• Commercial mechanical installation and commissioning experience on large-scale projects
• Qualifications to direct installation of energy center components (gas boilers, HIUs, etc.)
