Project Manager (Construction)

Overview

In this role you will lead a large design-and-build project for a respected contractor in Cardiff, taking overall responsibility for delivery, safety, cost, and quality. You will coordinate the site team across design, commercial and operational functions, and drive the construction programme. You will manage subcontractors, maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships, and provide clear reporting to senior management. Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the project
• Lead the site management team and coordinate design, commercial and operational functions
• Develop, monitor and drive the construction programme
• Manage subcontractor performance and resolve delivery issues
• Maintain strong control of health and safety, quality, cost and risk
• Chair progress meetings and provide clear reporting to senior management
• Manage client, consultant and key stakeholder relationships through to completion and handover

Key requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Manager for a main contractor
• Track record delivering projects valued at 20m+
• Strong design-and-build delivery experience
• Excellent leadership, programme management and commercial awareness
• Confident client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills
• Relevant construction qualification, with SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid
