Technical and Training Manager

Overview

In this role, you will drive high-quality training across levels, from trainee to partner, aligning technical content with firm methodology. You will support and eventually own defined areas, coordinating CPD, events, and technical updates for UK GAAP, IFRS, and audit. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful material and communications, shaping how the firm builds technical capability and continuous improvement. Responsibilities

• Support the audit and accounts technical query helpdesk across UK GAAP, IFRS and audit
• Coordinate and deliver Director/RI drop-in sessions with technical updates
• Plan and deliver national events such as the audit conference and manage technical content with stakeholders
• Monitor CPD completion for qualified audit and accounts staff in collaboration with Learning and Development
• Plan, coordinate and deliver the audit and accounts CPD programme including specialism training
• Deliver training material and technical guidance (face to face and online)
• Prepare and oversee development of audit and financial reporting training material for trainee development and CPD programmes
• Write and develop technical training content aligned to firm methodology
• Support internal technical communications on audit and accounting updates

Key requirements

• Knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS
• Auditing standards and related guidance
• The FRC Ethical Standard
• Companies Act 2006
• Excellent IT skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Familiar with accounts and audit software and methodologies
• Chartered professional or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of technical concepts and precedents
• Experience in professional services environment
• Ability to interpret complex requirements
