Overview

As CCO for Global D&F, you will lead the commercial strategy and execution to drive sustainable, profitable growth. You will partner with the Global Head of D&F to shape the global strategy, strengthen market engagement, and build a high-performing, globally connected commercial organization. A key focus is international expansion and reducing reliance on London, unlocking growth across priority markets. You will work across regions, products, and data initiatives to deliver disciplined growth and client-centric outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Execution: steer and evolve the D&F strategy, align with Willis’ broader plan, and drive unified execution across regions and product lines; identify growth opportunities across sectors, products, and geographies; act as a global liaison for D&F with leadership teams; partner with Finance to meet growth and investment targets.
  • Distribution, Client & Market Engagement: shape the commercial response to market cycles with the Global Head of D&F; align senior stakeholders across regions; enhance distribution through segmentation, prioritisation and data-driven targeting; represent D&F to strengthen relationships and value proposition.
  • Profitable Growth Focus: collaborate with Product, Regional, Sales, and Data & Analytics to evolve propositions; champion data-led decision making and analytics, AI, and digital capabilities; identify efficiency opportunities and drive timely improvements; foster a culture of disciplined growth and cross-regional collaboration.
  • Broader Strategic Contributions: support D&F operating model evolution for efficiency; drive key Willis initiatives (Gemini, Data & Analytics, AI, commission frameworks); ensure alignment across global leadership; contribute to Board materials, QBRs, and leadership forums to shape priorities.

Key requirements

  • Proven senior leadership in a global commercial/strategic role within the insurance industry
  • Deep expertise across Property & Casualty and/or Specialty Lines
  • Track record of executing growth strategies and delivering international commercial results
  • Strong ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders and executive leadership
  • Experience operating across geography, product, distribution and data within a matrixed environment
  • Effective at building alignment across global teams and leading through collaboration
  • Clear commercial mindset with ability to identify and unlock growth opportunities
