Electrical Project Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead substation projects and HV connection initiatives for DNO asset replacement programmes, ensuring on-time delivery, budget discipline, and quality. You will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive safe, compliant project execution at scale across Berkshire and Greater London. You’ll identify and mitigate risks, provide progress updates to senior management, and uphold HSE standards. • Salary up to 65k
• 37 hour working week with early finish on Friday

Responsibilities

• Manage substation projects from initiation to completion
• Oversee SSE/UKPN Asset Replacement programmes and HV connection projects
• Ensure timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality standards
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Mitigate risks and resolve issues across the project lifecycle
• Provide regular project updates and reports to senior management
• Maintain adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies
• Manage project resources and maximise utilisation

Key requirements

• Experience up to 11kV (33kV desirable)
• Electrically trained (HNC or above or Ex Cable Jointer, HV Fitter, Electrician by trade)
• Strong understanding of power distribution, asset replacement and connection projects
• Proven ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent project management and organisational skills
• Relevant project management qualifications or certifications advantageous
• Full UK driving licence
