Overview
In this role you will join Weightmans’ National Insolvency & Recoveries team to advise on both contentious and non-contentious insolvency matters for practitioners, lenders, businesses, and directors. You will work within a collaborative, cross-disciplinary environment that pairs insolvency expertise with other practices to deliver integrated solutions. Responsibilities
- Advise on corporate and personal insolvency, business recovery, and restructuring across contentious and non-contentious matters
- Represent insolvency practitioners, lenders, businesses, directors and other stakeholders
- Handle insolvency litigation, director disqualification matters, debt recovery, winding-up and bankruptcy proceedings
- Address secured lending, enforcement, retention of title and other financial security issues; manage CVAs, pre-pack administrations and restructuring solutions
- Engage in HMRC and tax-related insolvency disputes; handle partnership insolvency matters; address Third Party Rights Against Insurers Act issues
- Collaborate with teams in litigation, banking, corporate, real estate and regulatory to deliver joined-up solutions
- Engage in business development and contribute to the growth and reputation of the insolvency practice
- Aspire to or take on a Partnership path within a supportive, growth-oriented environment
