In this role, you will support a busy Planning & Infrastructure team by handling a varied caseload on major developments and energy projects. You will contribute to nationally significant schemes and planning obligations while advising housebuilders, land promoters and authorities. Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of planning matters, including large-scale developments
- Advise on energy and infrastructure schemes and planning obligations (CIL)
- Handle highways matters and enforcement or judicial review cases
- Assist acquisitions and disposals in the property team
- Support senior colleagues and collaborate across multiple offices
- Run own matters while maintaining client relationships
- Engage in business development and networking opportunities
- Provide high-quality drafting and communication to clients and authorities
Key requirements
- 4+ years PQE in planning law
- Strong technical skills in residential development and/or energy work
- Excellent communication, organisation and drafting abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Meticulous, detail-driven approach
- Proven ability to build strong client relationships
- Genuine interest in planning policy and sector developments
