Principal to Associate Electrical Engineer – Healthcare (Building Services)

Overview

In this role you will lead electrical engineering within our MEP discipline on high-profile healthcare projects in London. You’ll supervise design delivery, feasibility studies, and client-facing responsibilities to ensure successful project outcomes. You’ll work with a collaborative MEPP team to deliver sustainable, innovative solutions for mission-critical environments. Responsibilities

• Lead design delivery and provide technical guidance within the MEP team
• Supervise detailed designs and oversee junior engineers
• Conduct feasibility studies and develop performance specifications
• Act as client’s point of contact for project delivery and KPIs
• Support business development and client relationship management
• Manage project resources, schedules, and risk; ensure contracts/LOIs before work starts
• Lead and participate in team meetings addressing resourcing, safety, quality, and development
• Promote sustainability, net zero, digital design and modern methods of construction in project work

Key requirements

• Background in Building Services electrical design with healthcare experience
• Ability to lead teams and manage engineers toward project delivery
• Strong technical judgment for feasibility, concept, scheme, detailed design and construction support
• Working knowledge of UK electrical building services design standards and regulations
• Ability to manage technical, cost and programme elements of delivery
• BPSS security clearance (minimum)
