Data Privacy Officer

Overview

In this role you will oversee UK and international data protection compliance and drive the privacy program across the organisation. You will maintain the Privacy Information Management System, conduct DPIAs and risk assessments, and implement privacy initiatives. You’ll ensure policies and guidelines are understood and followed, working with senior stakeholders to embed privacy by design. This is an opportunity to shape a robust data protection culture within a multi‑jurisdictional environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
• Manage privacy incidents and investigations.
• Respond to data subject rights requests.
• Oversee privacy management software.
• Support the wider business on privacy matters.
• Deliver data protection training and awareness.

Key requirements

• Knowledge of global data privacy laws and standards with UK/Europe focus.
• Experience documenting business processes and developing data protection policies.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to align activities with standards.
• Strong English communication, both written and spoken.
• Professional data privacy certifications (e.g., CIPP/E).
