Elite firm – Private Equity Lawyer – 4-8 PQE

Overview

In this Private Equity Associate role, you will contribute to a market-leading Corporate practice focused on high-value sponsor-side and investor transactions. You will work on a broad range of private equity work, including acquisitions, disposals, investments, joint ventures and portfolio company transactions, often across borders. You’ll collaborate with partners and colleagues across corporate, finance, tax and regulatory teams to manage sophisticated deals. This is a step up for a capable associate seeking exposure to high-profile deals within a leading international practice.

Responsibilities

• Handle private equity transactions across the investment lifecycle (acquisitions, disposals, investments, JVs, portfolio company deals)
• Work on domestic and cross-border matters with cross-functional teams
• Support senior lawyers on complex, high-value sponsor-side transactions
• Collaborate with corporate, finance, tax and regulatory practice groups to deliver integrated solutions
• Advise sophisticated clients in demanding deal environments

Key requirements

• 4–8 PQE in Private Equity
• Strong private equity experience at a leading international or UK firm
• Excellent technical ability
• Commercially-minded approach
• Comfort with complex transactions and sophisticated clients
• Desire to progress within a leading international practice with sponsor-side exposure
