Professional Indemnity Underwriting experience?

Overview

As a PI Underwriter within a growing MGA, you will underwrite new and renewal PI business while building strong broker relationships. You’ll work with SMEs nationwide, collaborate across teams, and support growth and profitability through sound underwriting decisions. An interest in Cyber adds value, with D&O experience also advantageous. This role offers remote work flexibility and a chance to contribute to risk selection and client retention in a expanding insurance team.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal PI business for SMEs nationwide
• Collaborate with colleagues to support development and renewal underwriting activity
• Maintain accurate underwriting documentation in account management systems
• Apply underwriting strategies to meet budgeted results and team financial goals
• Review submissions (applications, policy wording, inspections, loss runs, financials) to assess risk
• Manage broker relationships and cross-sell available products
• Support client retention through renewal handling and service delivery
• Operate within team guidelines and comply with documented standards

Key requirements

• Experience in Professional Indemnity either broking or underwriting
• Strong underwriting experience with a focus on risk assessment and documentation
• Understanding of SME underwriting across the country
• Interest in Cyber; D&O experience advantageous
• Ability to work with brokers and internal teams to drive growth and profitability
