Overview
In this role, you will lead Havering Works to deliver high-quality employment support under a grant-funded program. You will supervise a small team of Employment Specialists and ensure the Connect to Work standards are met with rigorous record-keeping and quality oversight. You will apply IPS-based practice to support residents in gaining and sustaining work, while navigating complex systems and stakeholder networks. You will drive learning, performance management, and collaborative problem-solving to deliver impact for residents and the local community. This is a two-year fixed-term opportunity with potential extension, offering a meaningful leadership path in a mission-driven service.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and supervise 4 Employment Specialists and manage caseloads
- Monitor and maintain quality standards for Connect to Work programme (IPS) and related frameworks
- Lead reflective supervision, performance management, and staff development
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and data integrity for client support
- Build and sustain relationships with clinical teams, JCP, and other partners
- Coordinate with stakeholders to navigate systems for IPS integration
- Support staff through challenges and manage competing priorities
- Prepare for fidelity reviews and contribute to fidelity assurance processes
Key requirements
- Strong leadership and coaching skills
- Experience in supervising staff and delivering reflective supervision
- Understanding of IPS principles and person-centred practice
- Ability to uphold IPS standards and embed them in local context
- Experience working in complex health, employment, and social care systems
