As a Research Associate, you will advance environmental Synthetic Biology using non-model microorganisms to valorise plastic waste. You will lead data-driven experiments, publish findings, and help secure external funding while mentoring students. Responsibilities
- identify and develop data collection and analysis techniques and equipment
- publish results in refereed journals and present at conferences
- participate in group meetings and seminars and contribute to grant proposals
- supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students

Key requirements
- PhD in Synthetic Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field
- practical research experience and publication in refereed journals
- knowledge of microbiology, molecular biology, metabolic engineering
- bioinformatics and -omics methods
- experience with molecular biology, metabolic engineering, analytical methods
