Overview

In this role you will lead securitisation credit decisions for the EMEA region within MUFG’s 2LoD credit teams. You will shape risk assessment, monitor portfolios, and support frontline deal execution while upholding regulatory and internal guidelines. You will partner with senior management to drive strategic credit initiatives and strengthen the European credit framework. Responsibilities

  • Review credit applications and advise senior management on timely, well-reasoned decisions
  • Monitor portfolios in line with internal policies and regulatory guidelines
  • Engage proactively with frontline on deal specifics and strategic developments, flagging red flags
  • Support development and maintenance of risk framework, risk appetite, and early warning initiatives for EMEA
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives and knowledge across industries, sectors, and financing structures
  • Represent the credit division in internal regional forums and uphold risk culture pillars
  • Demonstrate high-quality written and verbal communication; coach and develop team members
  • Lead with urgency, manage large workloads, and ensure accuracy under pressure

Key requirements

  • Substantial (5+ years) experience in securitisation credit or structuring
  • Knowledge of asset classes including auto & consumer credit, RMBS, and trade receivables
  • Experience in corporate banking and/or structured finance; working with FI clients
  • Solid understanding of credit risk, market, legal aspects of securitisation, and regulatory audits
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to influence senior and junior staff
  • Bachelor Degree
  • Preferred: investment banking experience in credit or front office; credit/rating agency/legal/accounting background
