Advanced Clinical Pharmacist – Acute Medicine and Admissions

Overview

In this role you will lead and shape clinical pharmacy services within the Trust, focusing on admissions across the emergency floor. You will work with cross-functional stakeholders to enhance medicines governance, safety, and practice through policies and audits. The role sits in a forward-looking Pharmacy team at St Mary’s Hospital, leveraging EPMA and integrated medicines management to improve patient care. Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, deliver and develop clinical services within admissions across the emergency floor
• Develop policies, procedures, guidelines, risk assessments and audits
• Promote medicines safety to minimise harm and learn from incidents and safety alerts
• Supervise, train, and support development of pharmacy staff and other health care professionals

Key requirements

• Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) degree or equivalent
• Current GPhC registration
• Diploma in pharmacy practice or equivalent experience
• Completed general level framework competency training or equivalent
• Significant experience in a pharmaceutical environment and in hospital pharmacy
• Knowledge of national medicines guidelines and clinical specialty experience
