I’m recruiting a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join an established multidisciplinary building-services consultancy in Birmingham.
This is a role where you can stay hands-on with the engineering while taking more ownership of projects, clients and junior engineers. The position is heavily focused on complex mechanical building-services design rather than management-only responsibilities.
What you’ll be getting stuck into:
- HVAC, heating, cooling and ventilation design
- Heat pumps and low-carbon systems
- Heating/cooling loads, duct & pipe sizing and plant selection
- Revit / AutoCAD coordination
- Schematics, specifications and technical reports
- Leading selected projects from concept through delivery
- Client and multidisciplinary design-team meetings
- Mentoring and reviewing junior engineers
- Sustainable and Net Zero building design
Ideally you’ll have strong mechanical building-services design experience, be comfortable completing calculations yourself and enjoy taking real ownership of projects.
