C&I Engineer (Digitalisation) – Staff – South Coast / London / Home Working

Overview

In this consulting-style role, you will support the digitalization of energy assets and shore up C&I delivery on offshore projects. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to reduce operating costs, enhance safety, and lower emissions through data-driven solutions. The position offers growth towards a senior, consultancy-focused track and may involve international travel and offshore visits. You’ll contribute to ICSS, DCS, and SCADA architectures while developing standardized procedures and tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical reviews, project development and delivery activities
• Support digitalization of assets to reduce operating support and cost
• Contribute to C&I aspects of offshore energy projects, topsides facilities, floating production systems
• Develop solutions to use data to reduce manning/maintenance and greenhouse gas emissions
• Create C&I standard procedures, templates, and protocols for consulting activities
• Develop or acquire analysis tools, databases and software to enhance services
• Participate in design reviews, 3D model reviews, value engineering and risk management workshops
• Support ICSS, DCS, and SCADA architectures for offshore environments, including brownfield upgrades
• Assess safety systems and contribute to safety studies
• Potential international travel and offshore visits

Key requirements

• Degree qualification in C&I, Electrical or Electronic Engineering
• Chartered status desired but not essential
• Experience in digitalization of energy assets
• Experience on design projects in Oil & Gas or Renewable Energy (upstream/offshore beneficial)
• Experience with electrical equipment in conventional and safety applications
• Experience with relevant design standards and protocols
