Overview
As a Senior Process Engineer, you will develop robust, cost-effective manufacturing processes aligned with engineering plans. You will ensure process controls, safety, and regulatory compliance while coordinating data and equipment qualification. You’ll work with suppliers to specify and qualify new equipment and present progress to stakeholders. This role bridges process development, risk management, and lifecycle data within a manufacturing team focused on compliant, scalable solutions. You help shape efficient, safe production with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
- Develop new manufacturing processes aligned with plans and budgets
- Ensure processes are robust, cost-effective, and meet customer expectations
- Maintain long-term process stability through Lean principles, Process Control Plans, and PFMEAs; awareness of PLCs and Visual Management on automated lines
- Specify and qualify new equipment with suppliers to meet deadlines
- Coordinate development activities to build data supporting process understanding and PLM-based documentation
- Coordinate and manage project data files including trials, process definitions, drawings, specifications, certification and safety data in PLM
- Support project activities with process reviews, capability studies, and Safe System of Work
- Present process status to line management and stakeholders (verbal and written, e.g., KPIs)
- Contribute to risk management and commissioning/qualification of processes
- Apply statistical techniques for process capability and control; leverage Six Sigma where possible
- Lead and support Safe Systems of Work in line with policies and statutory requirements
Key requirements
- Minimum HNC / HND in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Chemical, or equivalent
- Strong technical and manufacturing background with initiative
- Ability to manage changing workload, maintain quality, and meet deadlines
