Senior Process Engineering – Orthopaedics

Overview

As a Senior Process Engineer, you own and optimize manufacturing value streams for medical devices, ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-effective production. You provide strategic technical leadership for process development, validation, and continuous improvement across functions, influencing long-term equipment and process strategy. You mentor junior engineers and represent Engineering in governance and regulatory forums to improve quality, supply continuity, and cost performance. This role is pivotal during the DePuy Synthes separation, shaping scalable processes for a new standalone business.

Responsibilities

• Own and optimize manufacturing value streams for medical devices to ensure safety, compliance, and cost-effectiveness
• Lead complex process development and validation programs (IQ/OQ/PQ)
• drive multi-functional continuous improvement initiatives
• mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership
• represent Engineering in governance and regulatory forums
• improve quality, supply continuity, and cost performance
• influence long-term process and equipment strategy

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• Manufacturing/process engineering experience
• Experience leading IQ/OQ/PQ validations for equipment, processes, and systems
• Track record of managing Audit Actions, NCRs, and CAPAs within a QMS
• Strong structured problem solving and root cause analysis skills
• Excellent technical content skills (specifications, validation protocols, change control)
• Experience leading multi-functional teams and influencing collaborators at multiple levels
