Industrial Placement – Civil Engineering – Site Development – Sheffield

Overview

In this 10–12 month internship you work with seasoned professionals on real projects, gaining hands-on experience in civil site development. You’ll contribute to assessments, designs, and reports while building your professional network and learning from leadership. The role emphasizes sustainable development, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and exposure to client and stakeholder interactions. Responsibilities

• Carry out assessment, analysis, and design; prepare design reports, drawings, calculations, and specifications
• Develop infrastructure designs for development sites (urban transport, site infrastructure, pavements, utilities, and drainage)
• Collaborate with colleagues in other disciplines
• Meet with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders; participate in site visits
