Overview
In this role you will own a large Delegated Authority credit control portfolio within a high-performing team. You will support underwriting, brokers, and Coverholders to monitor premium performance and ensure timely settlements. You will use analytics to track variances, resolve outstanding balances, and drive remedial actions, while contributing to reporting and exploring AI-enabled improvements. This is a role for someone with Lloyd’s market experience who values autonomy and collaboration to optimize the premium settlement process.
Responsibilities
- Own a large Delegated Authority credit control portfolio
- Monitor premium variances using dashboard analytics
- Ensure timely processing of FDO signings and receipt of paid premium bordereaux
- Reconcile written vs paid premiums; identify outstanding balances
- Maintain regular communication with Lloyd’s brokers for timely settlement
- Proactively manage problem accounts and agree remedial actions
- Collaborate with underwriting on outstanding/problem accounts
- Review underlying policy documentation as needed
- Support reporting requirements across Delegated Authority Credit Control
- Contribute to evaluating and implementing new technology and AI solutions in Credit Control
Key requirements
- Previous experience in the Lloyd’s market
- Strong knowledge of the premium settlement cycle for Delegated Authority business
- Familiarity with Lloyd’s binding authority docs from a credit control perspective
- Experience with Insurers’ Market Repository (IMR) and related policy/settlement docs
- Strong Excel skills (IF, Lookups, Pivot Tables)
- Experience using Power BI or similar dashboard analytics
- Excellent communication skills with brokers, Coverholders, and internal stakeholders
