Senior / Principal Civil Engineer

Overview

In this role you will lead the design and delivery of development infrastructure projects from Guildford with hybrid working. You will work closely with clients and planning authorities to shape highways and drainage solutions and deliver robust technical outputs. You drive project management, coordinate stakeholders, and mentor junior engineers to grow a capable team. Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of development-focused civil engineering projects
• Produce Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies
• Design highways and drainage infrastructure
• Utilise AutoCAD and MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage for design and analysis
• Manage projects, programmes and technical deliverables
• Collaborate with clients, planning authorities and stakeholders
• Provide technical input and practical engineering solutions across projects
• Support and mentor junior engineers

Key requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Strong consultancy experience
• Experience delivering Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies
• Good knowledge of highways and drainage design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage
• Strong project management and client-facing skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Chartered status or working towards Chartership (advantageous)
