Overview

In this role you will own the Group’s financial control environment across multiple entities, delivering accurate and timely reporting. You will lead a growing finance team, partner with the CFO and senior leadership, and drive improvements to systems, processes, and controls. The role supports future acquisitions and integration, with a focus on scalable, compliant financial operations. This is a high-impact position in a PE-backed, multisite healthcare business at a pivotal growth stage.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Group finance team
  • Own the financial control environment across multiple entities and P&Ls
  • Manage group month-end, year-end, and consolidation
  • Lead annual audits and coordinate with external auditors
  • Ensure accuracy of regional and individual P&Ls; strengthen controls and compliance
  • Drive automation, technology, and AI within finance
  • Support future acquisitions and integration activities
  • Collaborate with commercial finance on budgeting, forecasting, and business planning
  • Provide technical accounting and financial control expertise
  • Engage as a trusted senior stakeholder to challenge and provide insights to CFO/CEO and leadership team

Key requirements

  • ACA or ACCA qualification with 7+ PQE
  • Strong financial control and reporting experience
  • Experience across multiple entities, locations or P&Ls
  • Experience managing and developing a finance team
  • Solid technical accounting and control knowledge
  • Gravitas to engage with senior stakeholders and challenge where appropriate
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Hands-on, pragmatic approach with Group-level perspective
  • Healthcare experience advantageous but not required
  • Previous PE-backed experience beneficial for high-growth/acquisitions
