Commercial Finance Controller

Overview

In this role you will act as a commercially focused finance partner supporting operational and senior management to improve financial performance across a multi-site operation. You will deliver high-quality analysis, forecasting and commercial insight to back key business decisions, while developing KPI reporting and financial models. The position combines financial control with business partnering to identify risks, opportunities and cost savings, contributing to growth in a major international organisation.

Responsibilities

• Produce meaningful financial reporting, analysis and performance commentary
• Analyse actual performance against budgets, forecasts and prior year
• Partner with operational and commercial teams to improve performance
• Analyse sales, margins, volumes, pricing and commercial trends
• Support annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes
• Identify commercial risks, opportunities and cost-saving initiatives
• Produce financial models and scenario analysis for new opportunities
• Support commercial proposals, bids and tenders
• Develop KPI reporting for senior management
• Improve financial controls, reporting and accounting processes

Key requirements

• Studying towards or newly qualified CIMA / ACCA
• Strong commercial finance, management accounting or analytical experience
• Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills
• Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management ability
• Comfortable working within a fast-paced, multi-site environment
• SAP / Oracle EPM experience advantageous
