Overview
In this role you define how Kong positions agent identity, authentication, and authorization in a growing AI infrastructure market. You shape the category and establish Kong as the definitive voice on non-human identity for agentic architectures. You enable technical teams, craft deep technical content, and support strategic deals with security and platform engineering buyers. You’ll drive launches and campaigns, guided by market feedback and product strategy. This is a category-shaping, cross-functional leadership opportunity in a fast-evolving space.
Responsibilities
- Own positioning and messaging for agent identity and auth across AI and API traffic
- Shape the category through thought leadership, blogs, talks, and industry engagement
- Lead technical field enablement for Solution Engineers and Customer Success Managers
- Produce deep technical content: demos, reference architectures, whitepapers, documentation-adjacent content
- Support strategic deals as the subject-matter expert for agent identity and security
- Fuel launches and campaigns with technical positioning, proof points, and demo assets
- Partner with product management to inform roadmap framing and capability naming
Key requirements
- 5+ years in product marketing, product management, or solutions engineering
- hands-on interest in AI infrastructure and governance concepts
- ability to translate complex tech into crisp narratives for technical and executive audiences
- highly collaborative with cross-functional experience
- comfortable with keynote talks, analyst briefings, and demo-heavy sessions
- experience with open-source software, SaaS platforms, and enterprise GTM is preferred
- familiarity with AI connectivity landscape and related vendors is a strong plus
