Deal Advisory Tax Manager – Corporates & FS

Overview

In this role you will deliver clear, commercially-focused tax advice on complex transactions within Deal Advisory Tax. You will work with Partners and Directors to manage due diligence, structuring and transaction support across UK and international workstreams. You will review tax data and documents to maximise value for clients while maintaining strong client relationships. This position offers cross-border exposure, collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team, and involvement in thought leadership and knowledge updates. You will travel as needed to support client engagement and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of tax advice on complex transactions with senior stakeholders
• Manage due diligence, structuring and transaction support activities
• Oversee review of tax-related documents, data and models to inform decisions
• Act as primary contact for clients, legal advisers, and KPMG teams across UK and international workstreams
• Critically assess external tax advice for relevance and alignment with documentation
• Build client relationships and support proposals and new opportunities
• Coach colleagues and promote collaborative development
• Contribute to thought leadership and stay updated on UK and OECD developments

Key requirements

• Demonstrable experience applying UK corporate tax knowledge to transactions
• Experience managing projects with multiple contributors and deadlines
• Ability to analyse tax documents and translate findings into commercial advice
• Strong client and stakeholder relationship skills with clear communication
• Experience coaching or supporting colleagues
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and communication
