Cost Manager – Real Estate

Overview

As Commission Manager, you will lead end-to-end cost management services for major programmes, ensuring client objectives are met. You work within a cross-functional team to deliver accurate cost plans, procurement support, and post-contract cost reporting while leveraging bespoke digital tools. You will contribute to embodied carbon reporting and support the NewLeaf strategy, driving value across projects. Responsibilities

• Oversee commission management from feasibility through procurement and post-contract cost control
• Produce and present cost plans using The Hive and other cost management tools
• Conduct tendering activities including pre-qualification, tender analysis, and contract documentation
• Administer contracts and manage cost variances and change control processes
• Perform cost checks, valuations, and monthly cost reporting to clients
• Contribute to value engineering and negotiate final accounts
• Collaborate with project management and other consultants across project stages
• Lead a cost management team when appropriate and ensure delivery of all accountabilities
• Utilize The Hive suite (CostX, Market Rates App, eTender Platform, Cost Control App) and Embodied Carbon Calculator
• Support marketing, bid documentation, and business development activities
• Capture learnings into internal knowledge databases and contribute to process improvements
• Mentor junior staff and promote cross-functional collaboration
• Support resourcing, internal fee management, and cost control processes
• Assist in embedding the NewLeaf strategy and sustainability initiatives
