Management Accountant

Overview

You will drive the finance function for a healthcare business unit, delivering accurate management reports and insights to support strategic decisions. In this role you will collaborate across departments to manage costs, improve financial efficiency, and oversee budgeting and forecasting. You will contribute to monthly management accounts, prepare audit schedules, and ensure compliance with accounting standards while enabling automation and AI-driven finance initiatives. Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed financial reports and budgets to support the organisations goals
• Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying trends and variances
• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L and balance sheets
• Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to key stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
• Work closely with various departments to manage costs and improve financial efficiency
• Support the preparation of audit schedules and liaise with external auditors as required

Key requirements

• Professional accounting qualification or part-qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
• Experience in management accounting within a similar role or industry
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills
• Excellent communication skills to present financial insights effectively
