Electrical Project Engineer

Overview

In this role, you will support the electrical installation on a £20m commercial fit-out by assisting with management and quality control. You will liaise with the Project Manager on progress, risks and issues, and review electrical design documentation to ensure alignment with specs. You’ll validate equipment and systems and verify schematics, GA plans, and project requirements. The role focuses on delivering compliant, high-quality electrical work while supporting delivery on a high-profile scheme. Responsibilities

• Design review and validation of equipment and systems
• Review schematics, GA plans and project specifications
• Report to the Project Manager on progress, risks and issues
• Analyse supplier information for alignment with design specifications
• Complete technical submittals, RFIs, equipment registers and trackers
• Analyze design documentation to identify scope gaps
• Review on-site quality to ensure compliance with project team

Key requirements

• Experience with design review and validation of electrical installations
• Ability to review schematics, GA plans and project specifications
• Experience reporting project progress, risks and issues to a Project Manager
• Ability to analyse supplier information against design specs
• Experience in preparing technical submittals, RFIs and equipment registers
• Experience identifying scope gaps in design documentation
• Experience conducting on-site quality checks for compliance
