Head Business Architecture

Overview

As Head of Business Architecture at SIX Financial Information, you will shape the strategic evolution of our financial data platforms. You will translate business strategy into transformational initiatives, partnering with senior leaders and IT to drive growth, innovation, and operational excellence. You lead a team of Business Architects to modernise core data products across pillars like Index, Funds, and Market Data. This role bridges business and technology, ensuring platform investments align with long-term objectives and customer needs. You will be at the forefront of capability-driven planning and enterprise transformation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of Business Architects
• Translate strategy into artefacts such as value streams, operating models, and roadmaps
• Co-create and evolve business capability models and strategic roadmaps with IT Architecture
• Identify transformation opportunities to enhance data platforms and delivery capabilities
• Conduct assessments of platforms, processes, and operating models to support decision-making
• Develop business cases and executive recommendations for investments and transformation initiatives
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to evaluate technologies and optimise workflows

Key requirements

• Extensive experience in the financial information industry with market data, reference data, and financial data platforms
• Proven ability to develop and apply structured frameworks (value streams, operating models, strategic planning)
• Understanding of enterprise tech landscapes and data integration approaches (APIs, SFTP)
• Strong stakeholder management and influence across senior executives and cross-functional teams
• Analytical and strategic thinking with track record of translating challenges into practical solutions
• Collaborative leadership with ability to inspire teams and drive organisational change
